A warmer yet cloudy day, I decided to stick a fork in today and go take some pictures. I love to take pictures of nature. It calms me. I have never been to Lake Manawa over in Council Bluffs, IA in the winter, but I know in the summer I love to go boating, host BBQs, sit at the lake beach area and just have a good time. With a beer or two. 🙂
The trees were every where. Looks like a couple people were ice fishing and the normal crowd of folks who like to take a drive through the park, didn’t disappoint. Today, I used one lens and no filters. Just walking around the park in my HUGE hoody and finding any angle I could.
When you slow down, and look at the little things, you get lost. Well, at least I do. Besides my phone chiming with emails and text messages, I get this feeling of disappearing. Off the radar and grid. I love it. Almost therapeutic.
Walking on a frozen lake is a bit intense. As a big guy, I always feel like I am going to break something if I get on it. Since I saw a guy on a four wheeler doing donuts, I figured I was safe. Don’t knock it until you try it.
